About The Chasleton’s History
The renovations that have been completed on the Chastelton were done by Kenner Squire Properties.  There goal was to combine the luxuries and conveyances of living in the twenty first century without eliminating the elegance of this beautiful building constructed in the 1920s.  When the Chasleton was originally opened for business it was considered to be one of Washington DC’s elite apartment complexes.  Some of the people who came to call this development home were Mrs. Wallis Simpson who was later known at the Duchess of Windsor, and General Douglas MacArthur.
About the Developer who renovated the Chaselton
Keener Squire has been involved with acquisition, renovation, construction, conversion, and management of residential property that is located in the Northwest quadrant of  the District of Columbia since 1984.  The founders of this firm originally undertook renovation of historic mansions and apartment buildings in The DuPont area do to there interest in historical preservation.  Since they started their venture in the 1980s Keener Squire properties have now constructed projects that range in size, from buildings that are only 8 units large to buildings that offer a whopping 304 residences.  Keener-Squire has also developed the Regent, and the Windermere.  The Regent is a luxurious apartment complex that is compose of 53 units, and is located at 1640 16th street in the Northwest quadrant of the District.  They completed this project in 1999 and it also had the privilege of being one of the few apartments that was written up in the James Goode’s book  “Best Addresses”.   The Windermere is a two building apartment complex that is composed of 221 units and is located on New Hapshire Avenue Northwest, only two blocks away from the Chasleton.   Just like The Chasleton, The Windermere is another example of the types of renovation that can be found in properties purchased by the Keener Squire.
