Fairfax County Virginia Homes
If you are considering purchasing Fairfax County Virginia real estate in the Pinewood Lake Community please read on, this article contains very pertinent information about this neighborhood.  This community is located just south of Alexandria is composed of 542 Fairfax County Virginia homes.  A large portion of these units have been designed to face the heavily treed courtyard.  These VA Townhomes range in size from 2,100 to 2,400 Square feet.  The Metro Washington DC homes found in this development have been built on a slab foundation and have concrete walls separating each unit.  These townhomes have no uniform composition, some have first floor kitchens while others may have main area living on the second floor, which allows the home owner to have a hobby room or a den on the lower level. Majority of this Virginia real estate are three bedroom townhouses, but there are some that are four bedrooms.  Also the end units in this community are equipped with a fireplace.  The townhouses of Pinewood Lake have been designed to have a small front yard with a privacy fence that separates you from your neighbor.  One of the many nice features that residents of this area get to enjoy is that it is surrounded by both Meadows Park and Muddy Hole Park which combined to total 1,400 acres of wooded park land.

What does this community offer to its inhabitants?

  •  A five acre lake that residents can fish in, and it also is the home to two islands that are inhabited by gulls, ducks, geese, and sometimes if you get lucky you will see a blue heron.
  • The courtyard has playground equipment, paved paths, and benches
  •  There is also the Muddy Hole farm Park that has
  • Fields for sports
  • Tennis courts
  • Pinewood Lakes has a small locked common area that residents can use to store boats, or RVs in.
  • Over the last year this community spent $70,000 to upgrade  the community’s swimming pool, lakeshore, roads, lighting and walkways.
  • There are also plans for this neighborhood to get its own community center.  While we are on the topic of community, every year on Halloween the neighborhood has a haunted lake for the children, they are taken to one of the islands to enjoy ghost stories and other scary creations.

As you can see the Pinewood Lake Community offers much for its residents to do and at the same time it has been designed to allow its residents to enjoy the beautiful nature and its surroundings.
